Westfield Culver City’s Battle of The Bloggers: Spring Style

This past Monday I participated in an awesome event sponsored by the Westfield Culver City Mall.

The concept? Five bloggers sharing their personal style based on current Spring/Summer trends utilizing specified stores and their merchandise.  Basically, it’s a dream come true.

The great part about this is that the winning blogger gets $500 shopping spree. Of course, the benefit is not just for the blogger who wins, but also the VOTERS, you! One lucky winner will ALSO get a $500 shopping spree along with a day of shopping with the winning blogger.

When you vote, here, be sure to fill out the field to win a $500 shopping spree :). This is not limited to WOMEN, as MEN can also take part (Ipad, fellas?).

All of the bloggers have put a lot of effort into this, and each and every one of them looks fabulous. Since we’re all so different, the variety of looks is what makes this difficult. As I don’t tend to vote for myself, selecting between the four other girls was hard as they each represented their personal style and rocked it.

Of course, I would LOVE to win this but I encourage you to vote for me or any of the four other bloggers because YOU could win as well.

The link is here: VOTE

If you don’t know my name already it’s DENIZ, so if you like the looks I styled, please vote for me!

Your support is greatly appreciated and I thank you all for your constant input and love. If it wasn’t for you, this blog would not be what it is. You all keep me going, so thank you!

Here are the four looks I created:

The first look was created using fashions from Forever 21. Below are the reasons why I created this look.

I chose this adorable lace baby doll because of the gorgeous vintage feel it delivered. I paired it with the denim jacket to stay on trend with the vintage-inspired theme and the taupe platforms complimented the neutral color scheme. I opted for gold jewelery with pops of color to add a little sparkle, and the coral lipstick I felt added a nice final touch to the neutral hues.

The second look was created using fashions from Foreign Exchange. Below are the reasons why I created this look.

Floral & Coral was the inspiration for this look. With coral being such a huge color for the season, I decided to pair a coral bandage skirt with an ivory floral crop top and ivory blazer. The tan platforms added a nice neutrality to the overall presentation of the look. I love bold colors, and although color-blocking is something I love, I wanted to keep the attention to the skirt and pick pieces to compliment it. I also added coral lipstick to punch it up a notch.

The third look was also created using fashions from Foreign Exchange. Below are the reasons why I created this look.

I love girly fabrics, and this dress just had it! I loved the scooped open back (not pictured) and the 3/4 sleeve. It’s great for the daytime and easily transitions into the nighttime. I chose a tan belt to match my shoes and a red quilted purse to add a pop of color. I loved the femininity of this outfit and the fact that it was chic and remained on trend for the season.

The fourth look was created using fashions from Old Navy. Below are the reasons why I created this look.

Never having gone into Old Navy before, I was pleasantly surprised. This ruffled strapless dress caught my eye as I love bold, juicy colors. To add a bit of a bohemian flare to it, I layered some necklaces and added a sleeveless crochet cardigan with adorable pockets. The ruffles made me feel ultra girly, and the orange made me feel very happy. It was an easy daytime look for any occasion.
