Istanbul Sunset

I haven’t done an outfit post recently and since I just recently arrived in Istanbul I figured I might as well. Not only do I want to share my outfits, but mostly, the spectacular views of this city. The next two weeks I am here I will try to blog often, but when I arrive in Paris and start my tour de France with my boyfriend, I probably won’t have any posts as I plan on not bringing my laptop. But rest assured, I’ll have some great posts upon my arrival back to the States as well as great inspirational images.

Tonight, I had a family dinner with my mother, father, uncle and grandmother. We ate at this place where General’s and Military family go called Ordu Evi. It’s very beautiful and it’s right on the Bosphorus. The Bosphorus is a long body of water that divided the city of Istanbul on it’s European and Asian parts and is a major body of water used in shipping and trading as it leads into Istanbul’s main port.

Anyhow, you will see a variety of images of the Bosphorus on this blog, as I can’t get enough.

As for my outfit, I decided to stick with neutrals and play it up with pops of color. The beige dress I bought here at Mudo and loved the sweetheart neckline. I loved that is also had straps as strapless dresses tend to look a little odd on me. I decided to amp up the dress with a color block sandal I bought from Nine West and applied coral lipstick to add a pop of color to my face. I kept the colors on my head and my toes, keeping the rest of my body very neutral and simple.

Below are some extra images, just for fun…and you can see the most amazing women in my life; my mother & grandmother!

That’s it for now! I won’t have as many outfit posts, but more scenic images.

I love Istanbul and I’m so happy to be back here again :).
